Norris Leads Piastri in Brazilian Practice
The British driver has outscored Oscar Piastri at all of the past five race weekends.
Lando Norris just pipped team-mate and title rival the Australian for the top spot in the final moments of the practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The British racer, who grabbed the title advantage from his teammate by a single point after winning in Mexico City two weeks ago, beat the Melbourne-born driver by a tiny margin of 0.023secs.
Earlier in the session, Oscar Piastri had been the leading McLaren for most of the session before sprint qualifying set to begin at the evening session.
The Red Bull star, the only other driver in the championship fight, lying with a 36-point deficit behind Norris, was classified in 17th position as his Red Bull team opted for a alternative strategy.
Verstappen's team-mate the Japanese driver was the only driver to crash, if briefly, when he lost control at the fourth corner soon after starting.
The Japanese spun out over the curbs on exit before rotating through the escape zone, and was fortunate to escape with just a slight brush of the barrier.

Hamilton ended the session in P19, one place behind team-mate Charles Leclerc.
The McLaren drivers were significantly quicker of the other competitors, with Nico Hulkenberg's Sauber P3, 0.619secs behind Piastri's best.
Aston Martin's the Spanish driver was fourth quickest, with the Sauber of Bortoleto ahead of Mercedes' George Russell and Alpine's Gasly and Williams' Sainz.
